Julie James AM, Deputy Minister for Education, presented the IIF award to Ysgol Maes Glas, the first school in North Wales to gain the quality mark, as a special meeting in the Senedd.
She also presented the quality mark to Blackwood Comprehensive School, which had been re-accredited for the second time and is the first school in Wales to hold the award for a nine-year period.
